No it won't damage your hardfloors. It's a super machine that works just perfect!

The V11 Animal features our high torque drive cleaner head, featuring an integrated digital motor which helps to spin the brush bar up to 60 times per second. You should not have any issues using your machine on hardwood, however you may wish to check with your flooring manufacturer. They may recommend not using a brush bar or high-powered machine on your floors. The brush bar on our cordless vacuums cannot be disabled. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
