You can get one from Dyson for the low cost of $140. Yes...$140 for a battery! That is what I was just quoted from Dyson.

While the battery in the V8 can be replaced if ever needed, we do not recommend keeping a 2nd battery as a backup. The V8 battery is held in place with tiny screws, and the contact removal of those can strip them over time. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
