I need a vacuum that will be safe on a delicate hand-knotted rug. I understand the soft roller will be better than the regular brush bar, but will the movement itself damage the rug? Thanks. null

I have never had a problem with this vacuum damaging any item.  I have used it on delicate items and it works well.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The soft roller head may not work well for you, as it's not intended for use on carpeting. We would suggest in your instance to check with the carpet maker to see what their recommendation would be as far as vacuuming, to ensure safe results with no damage.
