Does the V8 direct drive motorhead or new tangle less motorhead have more pick-up ability and which would clean the best on both carpet and hard floors with 3 dogs? Do I still need fluffy bar for hard floors with tangle less motorbar? null

Hi. I have 2 dogs and use this vacuum on hardwood floors and carpet and it cleans fantastically.  I went over my daughters carpet 2 times and picked up so much dog hair that my normal vacuum didn’t!

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The direct drive head on the V8 has its own motor powering the brush bar, so it's very powerful and efficient at picking up pet hair. Having said that, with multiple pets in the home, you do want to make sure you're taking time to maintain that brush bar, checking for hair and removing as needed, so it doesn't clog the machine or block the brushbar from properly spinning. The fluffy head is only for use on bare floors. You can use the direct drive head on any surface. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
