QuestionAll of my vacuums in the past have had issues with constantly being clogged up. How does this vacuum do with large amounts of hair, dust, and remains from dog toys (string, fluff, etc.)

- Answer I have long haired German shepherds and it honestly gets all the fur they bring in, the way you dump it is super easy also. I clean out my car and vacuum the carpets and then I’ll dump it and it works just perfect, so far all the attachments have stayed unclogged also! My husband loves using it to clean up. As far as cleaning up big fluff it does work but you’ll have to dump it once a big piece is in there. Just keep dumping it out and you should be satisfied

- Answer This is only a vacuum not a wet mop... I use it on tile, wood and carpet, it is an amazing vacuum, lots of suction and so easy to use and keep charged for convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

QuestionI just purchased a Dyson v8 animal. I have hardwood floors and some area rugs as well as a hairy dog. Can I buy the additional soft floor attachment for use on my floors? I don’t want to scratch them.

- Answer Amazon sells the soft brushes but I have yet to see any scratching from vacuuming my own hardwood floors. I think the soft brush is just more powerful but with large hair it should have no trouble picking it up.

Questioni bought my dyson animal cord-free vacuum around 3 years ago. but, I don't remember if it is v7 or v8. I need to replace the battery. so, what happens if i put new v8 replacement battery on v7, or new v7 replacement battery on v8?

- Answer I just checked the plug on mine and it is 100-240v and 50/60hz, so it will work. You would just need the adapter for the plug so that you can plug it in at the wall.

- Answer Yes, it does. Make sure that you either put it in a stud or use the proper inserts so it doesn't fall out. It's lightweight, but still needs those.

QuestionNot seeing a light on the front. My big upright purple Dyson doesn’t have one either. How does one vacuum (especially in a low-lit environment)? Even the cheapest vacuums have floor-level led lights so you can friggen SEE what you are vacuuming. Duh.
