“Does anyone have experience with this camera in cold weather? The manual says lower limit is 14F (-10C), which our weather can get much colder.”

As long as the sustained temperature is not below 14f for days, then nothing special is required. If this is a problem then I would suggest adding some sort of insulation around the unit. All electronic have a point to which the circuitry can, and will, crack. Also, this is made of a type of plastic so if allowed to get too cold it will become quite brittle and can easily break.
