• There is a setting for that. You can specify at what humidity (high or low) you wish to be notified.

• Not sure about the system question, but you can set it to notify you when it is too hot, or the humidity is too high.

• Straight Cooling System: It has the possibility as it can interface with many primary and secondary sources of heat and cooling. I would check with the manufacture and EcoBee to verify. The system has the capacity to send email alerts for HVAC Maintenance, Air Handler Filter, UV Lamp, Low Temp, High Temp, Low Humidity, and High Humidity right out of the box.

• Yes, it will work with the AC portion of any HAV system. You can set alerts for temperature and humidity.
