The way this would have to work is let’s say you have 3 Eero at home.  One of them is functioning as a router, so you technically have 2 access points out of 3.  Then, you want to take one of those access points to your RV and take it with you.  You’d have to factory reset that AP, put your RV modem in bridge mode, then add the Eero as a router to your RV setup.

So yes, technically what you are asking would work.

But Eero is not made to swap AP in and out dynamically (meaning it just works bringing AP in and out or hot swappable).

Yes. I separate one. It is a gateway. Yes it must be connected to your modem which has a router. I think to boost your signal you need the other ones which can be spread your coverage. The other 2 don’t have to plug in to the router. The specific model tells how far it spreads. Hope this helps

The eero 6+ 3 pack can be used separately, they do not need to stay together.  How an eero network works is one eero will be hardwired, via ethernet, to the internet source/modem.  That gateway eero will create a wifi network for your devices to connect to.  Additional eero can connect to that gateway eero (wired or wirelessly) and they will broadcast the same wifi network, making additional access points for your devices to connect to, increasing range.
eero cannot work wirelessly off a different/non-eero wifi network.
