• I have Verizon and i remove my Verizon old modem and connect the fiber box directly using ethernet cable and works without problems

• No the eero device requires a router to function

• It should, yes. The eero is designed to replace the router you currently have. It will still need internet access via an ethernet cable (from the modem/ONT), it will create a wifi network for your devices to connect to. Additional eero will connect to that head/gateway eero and broadcast the same wifi network. If you want to keep your existing router the eero can also be put into bridge mode, so they will work as access points.
