Best placement will be open area at the higher point I just replaced my AirPort Extreme AC and I’m really happy ( my average speed was 300 mb, now is 900 mb) One unit covered entire house (2000 square feet) I’m using XFINITY and my own modem ( Motorola 7621) And using Ethernet cable that is at least class 6 would help
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does say that it is best when it is out in the open, unobstructed, and away from other major electronics. Though they pair easily and the signal between them is strong, even when going from downstairs to the upstairs one through walls and ceiling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should be pretty good because you have two other ones you're going to set up and it will pick up the signal and repeat it. Just buy it try it and if it doesn't work take it back
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will depend on what walls of the closet are made out of and how much metal is in the area. It will reduce the range wirelessly from that eero, how much is impossible to say without testing. Best thing to do would be put the gateway eero there, get another eero added to the network and test speeds from it (best way to tell would be to hardwire a laptop to the wireless eero and run speedtests, that will tell you how much that individual eero is getting to distribute) and experiment to find the best place for it. However, if you have a switch in that closet going to ethernet ports in the house that would be ideal. By going internet/modem->Gateway eero->switch->ethernet ports throughout the house you will get superb speeds on those ports and you can hardwire other eero to those ports to give you wireless coverage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Like all routers you are going to lose signal strength, but you can place the other satellite routers strategically so you can compensate for the lost signal of the first one.
