• A Wifi router only broadcasts the internet that is inputted to it from a modem. In order to get internet from a modem you must pay for the service from a provider.

• You only pay once for the product but you must have an internet connection which you would pay a monthly fee for such as through AT&T or your cable company or other provider. They will supply a modem and you will pay a monthly fee. The eero just gives you the wireless connectivity throughout your home.
