I have 1.2G speeds, but the router only receives 1G. Not sure if it is the cable or a modem setting

As long as you have Ethernet ports in the back of your tower, you can plug it to the back of the eero. As for the eero, it’s a fantastic product. Never any connection issue and coverage is excellent. In my house, I have over 40 WiFi devices. To assure I maximize my speed between tower and eero, I bought a cheap 8cat 2ft cable from Amazon for cheap. I could only find the 2ft 8cat online.
