The eero is the wireless device as opposed to your internet router from your ISP. The eero will be the device providing the signal, wireless name, etc. It's super simple to set up and they even walk you through it on the app (app available for both iPhone and Android).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the beacon is more or less a WiFi extender. I would suggest you get the eero base station with the beacon. The beacon does not have a spot for the Ethernet cable. Also, the beacon you just plug into a wall socket.
