• Yes there is just a thin metal on top of the plastic although I don’t believe it’s aluminum because it’s magnetic

• They call it a steelbook but it is likely aluminum. Steel would likely be heavier. The plastic is built into the case instead of it just acting like a normal cover. I still really like them regardless though.
