PS3 for example needs to have a monitor splitter in order to get around some built in settings. PS4 settings need to be adjusted for the Elgato to work. I have an hdmi adapter to use my Super Nintendo.

As far as computer you’re capturing to, PC has the most options because there’s an issue with Apple not recognizing the hardware with certain capture software.
