• Has a stand U put the kettle on the stand and the stand has a cord that u have to plug in the wall Then you have to press the button on the kettle to turn it on

• Yes this corded, plug n play. It is more like an electric hop plate, you place a kettle (jar) filled with water. When connected to electric plug, it heats up the concealed hot plate and brings water to a certain temperature and shuts off automatically. So that it is not boiling the water and no hazardous.

• Electric means you will plug it in not a wall and then turn it on so it can give hot water the other type of tea kettle is the one that you put on the stove
