“In order for this air fryer to heat up, does the timer have to be set? Is this a safety feature?”

• Yes, you just set the temperature, then turn the timer to the appropriate time and it's on. No need to preheat...and once done, it turns off. Great safety design and oh so convenient.

• Yes, it's got a great safety design, that turns on the unit once to turn the timer dial...just place your desired food in the basket, pop it in place, set the temperature, then turn the timer knob to the desired time and wait for the bell! Never a need to worry about it staying on, because it shuts itself off, once it's done.
