I’m new to air frying and wondered how good this would be, given the low price. All I can say, is it’s awesome!! I usually only cook for 1 or 2, so the size is perfect. It takes up very little space on my countertop (see pics, next to roll of paper towels; it’s <8” diameter-about the size of a salad plate), it’s quiet, and the non-stick coating makes cleaning a breeze. The analog timer is similar to an old school microwave, which didn’t bother me. Nice little recipe book included. Everything I’ve tried (sweet potato fries, tofu, fish, shrimp) has been delicious. Don’t hesitate to buy!

For one person this air fryer is perfect. I used to own another one but 2.6qt, even is smaller, so far for me it fits my food in a good proportion. Is quite (I assume is because of the size) and doesn’t take much space. What I like the most is the fact that the basket is easy to wash

This thing works like a champ and I haven't had any problems as others may have had. The sweet spot for cooking one serving is 12 to 15 minutes. The plastic it's made of does give off an odor so I keep it on the lanai outside. I dump whatever I'm cooking onto a plate and leave the pan outside to cool. Then I bring the pan indoors and splash in some liquid soap Inside and fill it halfway up with water to soak a while. I only use paper towels to wipe the inside and it's held up without any issues. Things I've cooked include: french fries, tater tots, eggrolls, onion rings, one 3rd of a link of turkey sausage cut in half and poked with a fork and combinations of the previous items, 5 ounce burger pressed flat and seasoned before putting it in. It only makes enough for one person and that might be good if you're trying to control portions. I've thought about getting another one so I could cook a main course and a side dish at the same time. 1000 watts is equivalent to 8 Amps so you couldn't put 2 of these on the same circuit that typically carries 15 Amps max. Emerald also makes a 3 quart air fryer that costs a little more, but I can't vouch for the dependability of that model.

My curiosity started to peak about the 'Air Fryer Craze', so i did my homework (research) on purchasing one, i came across the Emerald 1800 (baby) air fryer for $19.99 on bestbuy.com, i read many of the reviews, and the positive results many people reported about this item. So, i made my purchase, and i will say, i agree with the many positive reviews, my chicken and fries come out very tasty, i've been using it Everyday, it is one appliance that i always look forward to using due to the positive results. Besides the fore mentioned foods, I've done hard boiled eggs, hot dogs, i'm looking forward to 'frying' other items in this fryer. I have never been one to 'outright cook' meals for myself, (i pretty much consider myself 'Mr. Microwave' when it comes to 'cooking', but this little fryer makes cooking just about a no-brainer for me (that's my speed) lol. So, it is nice to wake up everyday, and know i will be making something tasty in the Emerald...(they named it right), it is a 'Gem' of an item !.

Love this air-fryer. Small and compact so doesn’t use a lot of counter space. Frozen fries come out so golden brown and crisp, I was blown away. Still exploring other dishes. Worth the investment.

It works wonders when I do not feel like cooking. My grand sugars cook their own chicken nuggets and onion wings. No more eating out. Now they are learning to cook a pork chop. We are learning a lot of things to keep me from the stove. They even cook for me.
A:Yes, you just set the temperature, then turn the timer to the appropriate time and it's on. No need to preheat...and once done, it turns off. Great safety design and oh so convenient.
A:I know. You have to wonder who writes the manual. I call the grill the basket and the drawer pan is the frying basket. You wash insert piece and the big basket before use and put the grill insert back in. There is no protective cover and no release button. You just use the handle to pull the whole thing in and out. Very simple.
