• Yes. Even with a rather substantial case (I'm using a Sportlink case) my iphone 17 Pro Max charges just fine.

• Hi Edwe, The phone needs to be aligned with the charging coil for wireless charging to work. If placing it on its side causes the coil to shift out of position, charging may slow down or become unstable.
