“Why does it require 3-4 batteries to start charging? I read from others they can charge 2 at a time but I can't seem to get the same results.”

• It’s charging. It just takes a moment to register that it’s only a few batteries. Mine does the same thing. Just leave them in there for a few hours

• I always charge four at a time. I do not have problems as long as they batteries have not expired. For my work the rechargeables last about 1 year. They are recharged several times a week. I mainly use them in digital cameras.
