Can you use (2) of the 273 in the 273xl spot? null

If I understand your question, correctly, no you cannot.

No, I don't believe you can because there is only one space for each color. The XL is a bigger cartridge, but fits into the color spot. You can however still use the ink regardless if it XL or regular. Not sure why you would need to put 2 in one spot. Each cartridge holds a lot of ink.

I don't think you can, because of the contacts on the printer. They won't match up with the second cartridge.

In a word......No. Even though two of the 273s would be the same width as one 273xl, the contacts would not match the larger cartridge receptacle. Also, there is only one ink port centrally placed.
