will the printer print with any cartridge missing/ null

I don't know if it will print with an "empty space", but it will print when there is an empty cartridge - just not for long because the printer draws on remaining cartridges when necessary. RF

No, The printer requires that all cartridge's be in it to print. If a cartridge is empty, the printer will not print either.
