A:AnswerGreat question. I have no problems with printing using Ubuntu Mate, but have not been able to use the scanner. I had a similar problem with my old Epson WF-3640, but that machine allowed a user the option of saving scans to a local USB/CF card. Ubuntu would then recognize the drive and I could used the scanned file. The ET-2800 has no ports for this work around.
If you are just printing, it will work fine. If you need the scanner function, you'll likely be disappointed. It is possible other distros will work fine with the scanner function, but I haven't invested the time to see if that is true. Somehow, I doubt it.
A:AnswerHi, The EcoTank ET-2800 is not designed for sublimation. Using sublimation ink in it may lead to printhead damage or affect the warranty coverage. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello GilbertGal. Yes, the ET-2800 works well with Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads. You can use the printer with AirPrint or the Epson Smart Panel app. To download the app, please visit the Apple App Store. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello Juls. Most Epson All-in-One printers can be connected via Wi-Fi or a USB cable. However, for the printer to work with an Android phone, the printer can only be used via Wi-Fi. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello. If a line appears in all your scanned images, clean the scanner glass with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or use a small amount of glass cleaner on the cloth, if necessary. We recommend not spraying glass cleaner directly on the scanner glass or using paper towels. If the issue continues, please contact our Technical Support team by phone for assistance. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello ivorymao. The ET-2800 scanning feature is available through Wi-Fi or a direct USB connection. Also, either option can be used when connected to a computer, phone, or tablet. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
