yes, it has wireless capabilities and I send items to be printed from my laptop to my office from my living room all the time. The phone should be able to work the same way.

You can use your smart phone and the free Epson Smart Panel app to scan and print photos. A computer can download the applications associated with the ET-2800 and scan and print, too. If you need to fax, consider the EcoTank ET-4850. You can fax from a computer or the front-panel controls on the printer, but not a smart phone. The ET-4850 is currently available at Bestbuy.com, but inventory levels can change. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
