• Nope. I'm not smart enough to use a smart phone. I just used a usb cable to computer, though you can do a lot more through the phone on wi-fi. Lots of info on internet.

• Hello Jess3. The ET-2800 does not require a smartphone for setup. The printer can also be used on a tablet and computers using macOS or Windows. Please visit our official Epson Support page to download the latest printer software. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
