“I print photos onto fabric for quilts. Is the ink for this printer something other than water based. Will I be able to wash the quilts without the photos running or washing out?”

Hello Lynn. The ET-2800 uses dye-based ink bottles. Unfortunately, since the printer doesn't print on fabric, we wouldn't be able to confirm the durability of the ink from being washed. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

Please try again later.I think you maybe referring to sublimation ink which with a press releases the ink into the fibers (polyester) this printer will work but you need to install different ink instead of what came with it originally. Doing this voids any warranty of the product if applicable.
