QuestionThe description states that it does NOT have an automatic document feeder. Does this mean that you cannot scan multiple pages in one go i.e. I have to use the flatbed scanner to scan one page at a time manually?

- Answer Hello. The ET-2760 has a higher maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi. However, both printers offer similar print quality, as they use the same print head and 502 Ink set and are tested to work the same paper types. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

QuestionI specifically brought this for sublimination I don’t want anything to effect my warranty on it. I read some of the post and jump on it. I didn’t realize that I was going to mess with my warranty. Is there anything I can do to keep my warranty besides ink

- Answer Hi Jean, The EcoTank ET-2800 is the ideal basic home printer. It can print documents and photos, scan in high resolutions, and enlarge and reduce copies. It is not designed to use sublimation ink. In order to assure a long and effective life, it is best to use the Epson 522 ink that shipped with the printer. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

- Answer Hello sarah. The EcoTank Photo ET-2800 is designed to print on compatible Epson photo paper and plain paper. Unfortunately, we have not tested vinyl paper on the machine, so your results will vary. We recommend contacting the vinyl manufacturer to confirm compatibility. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

QuestionCan the tanks be taken out to swap between sublimation ink and regular ink?

- Answer The tanks are not removed. They are filled with four bottles of ink during set up. After that it takes 11 minutes to “charge” the print heads.

- Answer Great question. I have no problems with printing using Ubuntu Mate, but have not been able to use the scanner. I had a similar problem with my old Epson WF-3640, but that machine allowed a user the option of saving scans to a local USB/CF card. Ubuntu would then recognize the drive and I could used the scanned file. The ET-2800 has no ports for this work around. If you are just printing, it will work fine. If you need the scanner function, you'll likely be disappointed. It is possible other distros will work fine with the scanner function, but I haven't invested the time to see if that is true. Somehow, I doubt it.
