I kept getting this error, as well. I learned that one reason a file won't upload is if the file name includes special characters. I was scanning and automatically uploading just fine and then I received this error message. I had named a file "Johnny & June". Once I changed the name to "Johnny and June" I no longer received this message. There are other reasons you may receive this message (not enough storage space, etc), but this could be your problem.
