the scanner will automatically find a picture, if you want to scan more than 1 picture you have to manually select it by drawing a rectangle around the picture(s) the scanner will then scan each picture as a separate object.

Not "automatically" but you can scan to any size you want.

Hi Doug! Yes, you can scan a photo into a larger size by adjusting the "Target Size" using Professional Mode in EPSON Scan. Additionally, to scan multiple photos at once, each photo must be position 8 mm or 0.8 in apart. Bobby - The Epson Team.
