Hi, It is possible. The ES-60W can be switched into direct Wi-Fi mode. In this mode you can connect your tablet directly to the scanner like it is a Wi-Fi network. While your tablet is connected to the scanner, it will not be connected to the Internet. Once you have finished your scans, you can disconnect from the scanner and reconnect to the Internet. Visit the Epson support site for the ES-60W for details. If you can accept lower quality, a simpler method would be to use the camera on your tablet to take photos of the documents.
