You can mount it there. The magnetic part is only on the bottom of the camera. However in settings you can flip the picture so you can mount the camera upside down. If that makes any sense. It does have some play with the adjustment. For the price and the features night vision spotlight it’s not a bad camera.Picture is very good. Easy to set up on phone so you can view from anywhere. Hope that helps. Good luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, only the bottom half of the camera is magnetic. I also tried to install to a soffit with the camera upside down, but it was very difficult to get it angled correctly with the top half not being magnetic. Also, even if you are able to mount upside down at the right angle, the footage will also be upside down in the live view/recordings. At this time there is no way to rotate the footage in the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I mounted it on the soffit at my front door. The magnetic portion is limited and the cable was in the way, perhaps somewhat specific to the way I was trying to point it. I found a position that was acceptable but not quite what I wanted (but good enough). I would still buy it again. The Arlo camera that I replaced had similar issues but a little easier to deal with.
