• Hi! Since you have a Roku TV already you do not need the Express 4K+ but with adding it could improve the speed and quality of your previous Roku TV but no it is not needed.

• You don’t NEED it. You should have the capability to access all your streaming options directly from your TV. I have a 1yr old Samsung smart TV and I did add the Express 4K but only to have the convenience of having all our TVs use the identical remotes and have identical startup screens.
