• In my opinion, it's probably defective, but even if it wasn't there's lots of complaints of having to daily (or more often) re-boot - and zero help from Roku.

• Hello Bob! In order to utilize the TV controls, your new remote will first have to be paired with the TV. To do so, from the Roku Menu > Settings > Remotes & Devices > Remotes > Voice Remote (In use) > Set up remote for TV control.
