“I do mostly video and I know the 50mm f1.8 version’s autofocus is pretty clunky with my a7sii. Can I expect the same autofocus technology from this? (Debating going with Zeiss because of the “inner” autofocus.)”

I used it with the a6300 and autofocus was spot on. Pretty quick response had only a couple of hiccups but that may have been due to lighting. I only shot a few minutes of video and it performed well, didn’t have any issues. Just keep in mind the crop factor, as you may very well be aware of. Other than that, the lens of sharp and bokeh is great. My pictures turned out better than I expected in a poorly lit environment.
