It seem that your fitbit has a defective battery. I would do is contact fitbit customer service and tell your problem. They might send you a new one since it still under the warranty. good luck with it man.

Have dealt with them for other issues and always walked away happy with the results. If out of warranty contact them anyway and see if they can help you out. However the battery is not user replaceable.

I synch 2-3 times per day in competition with family members. Since the steps are on the screen there is no need for me to keep the synch on all day.

I don't think your tracker should require recharging as frequently as you say it needs. It may be defective. So far as I know there is no way to replace the battery on this device.
