“I am getting the notification that I have a message. It scrolls "New message" not the actual message and doesn't tell me who it's from. ???”

This should only happen if you have had multiple messages come through. The Alta will only allow you to read the first few words of the first new message you receive. If you have not viewed that first message on your device, then the Alta will only tally how many new messages you have received and not display any part of the most recent message. This is my only Con with this device.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on the phone you have, the Fitbit will receive the text displayed on your phones lock screen. I have a Samsung s6 and I had to tweak the setting to get it to read the name and a brief scroll of the message! Hopes this helps!

Then enter Call and Text Notifications to change settings for texts. Also if you have more than 1 unchecked texts sometimes it won't show specific text information. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.some of the information depends on what messenger program you use. My son used Messenger + and would only get the name of who was texting. I use Verizon messenger and would get the name and the actual text message.
