This is a fitness tracker. It tracks steps, activity, and sleep. It reminds you to move and shows you notifications (calls, text, and calendar) from your smartphone. It stays on your wrist and works as a watch. The bands can be replaced (if you have extras) to match your outfit, style, or mood. You can check out the Fitbit web site for detailed info.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Fitbit Alta tracks steps, moderate to intense exercise (through movement--it has a list of the exercises it tracks best). If you track food, you can either do that through the Fitbit app or another one and link them. It also tracks your calorie output and your sleep--how long, how restless, and how many times/how long you were awake. It is based on movement, so you have to give it some grace when the information is a little off (for instance, if you move your arm a lot, twist and turn, etc. in a chair, it may report a step.)
