Actually yes it did for me. i put it on my ankle when i went to a charity ball. it just didn't go with the formal gown. i wore it on my ankle all night and it still had a readying for heart rate and step. i'll assume they were accurate. For the heart rate the led lights would have to lay flat against the front of the ankle. the reading is from the blood flow. basically get it positioned similarly to the way you wear it on the wrist.
