• It is not recommended for swimming or showering with. It can get wet from a splash or your sweat, but must be dried off soon so that the electronic parts keep working. I had to use a q-tip with vinegar and salt to clean off rust from my fitbit from an aftermarket band rusted at the connectors from sweat. Scared me, but I was able to remove the rust. I don’t recommend non-fitbit replacement bands after this incident.

• No, the instructions say it’s “water resistant.” Ok in the rain, but avoid wearing while swimming, showering, or bathing.

• No, the Alta HR isn't waterproof. The Flex 2 is waterproof.
