Strap! Is the strap made out of the same material as the fitbit surge HR?

The Stock strap is, yes. Replacement straps are readily available unlike earlier wrist trackers. The official Fitbit straps are a bit on the pricy side, but third party straps are available in the $30 range, leather, metal, multiple styles.

The black strip that ships with it is the same material, but the frame and fasteners are much nicer and less likely to slip or pop off during use. There are other (pricey - ~$100) bands that are available now that come in different materials - including leather. It makes it changeable for fashion purposes, but at a steep price right now.

I don't know for sure but the band fill's different than the surge that I also have. I wear the watch loose on my wrist haven't had any problems

it seems like a different material but I can't be sure. I had the same question because the Surge gave me a rash. The Blaze has given me less irritation but still I can see some redness below the strap where the clasp is located. My thought is there may be some nickle in their products that cause irritation.

I am assuming yes its made of the same material, my wife has the Fitbit charge HR and hers is that same rubber material.

The strap you get with it is, but you can get other bands now to replace it - think one is leather and one is metal. BUT they are costly IMO.
