• Yes. It can measure regular movement and then you can set the Fitbit Blaze to track exercise, running, relaxing or sleeping. It even can track water intake if you choose

• The watch can be used in conjunction with the gps on your phone to give specific distance for walks/runs. But it would require you to also carry your phone.
