• It does both You can tap or press the button. It can also be set to display when you turn your wrist. Much better then the Alt

• Steps show when you raise your wrist. You can tap screen to see other stats easily.

• Yes and Yes! You push the button to open the screen and either tap for more info on that screen or hit the button again for the next screen. Tap for additional info for each screen.
