Yes it does, when you download the app to your phone, it will sync with your device. Then you can start tracking you exercise, and it shows after you've completed where all you went.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it will use the gps on your phone. Its not an issue unless you do not bring your cell phone with you every were you go. The surge is the fitbit with built in gps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but if your connected to a iPhone, the Fitbit app will use the phone GPS to track your movement as long as you start a workout in the app. I can't tell you if it works with an android phone since I'm not using one
