Not sure about a Galaxy tablet but it does sync with my Galaxy 5S Phone.

I have a Samsung phone and ASUS and Lenovo tablets. I'm not sure how the original info gets to each of them but they and my 2 PC's all stay up to date. I guess it all depends on how your device uploads to your Fitbit account and if you have an internet or wifi connection to your other devices. Once I installed the pc software and Android apps, I just logged in and everything worked fine. Fitbit is easy to start and maintain. They lie in their marketing but their software people are great,
