Be careful that your Fitbit doesn't get too wet. It's not water "proof"... If submerged in water for an extended period of time, it'll ruin

There is a "track your exercise" tab where you can log specific exercises.

I take aquafit classes, too. I don't recommending getting it more than occasionally wet. I showered with it a few times and it needed to be replaced. The company quickly replaced it with no difficulty.
You can log exercise by recording the starting time and duration. The calories burned (estimated) will be included in your daily log. You can modify the amount of calories in your 'activity' to what you think is appropriate.

The fitbit flex is waterproof and should be alright in the swimming pool.

It is safe to wear in the pool. But probably not for scuba diving.

it tracks your movement and knows when you're sleeping but I doubt it knows the difference if you're swimming.

Fitbit One is not for use in the pool.
I have previously used the Fitbit Flex in a pool without problems. It still only measures steps :)

You can log it into the Fitbit app but the Fitbit itself is not waterproof!

It is recommended per the manufacturer that you take it off when swimming, showering, etc. It's not the one for water activities.
