A:AnswerNo, you don't have to have an extra phone line. I only wanted this model for the GPS tracking (running/walking) without requiring another phone line or having to have a phone with me. I also needed all the other health monitoring and health tracking attributes it offers. My wife has the Versa 2, and after seeing the upgrades the Versa 3 offers, the price is justified. She misses out on the steps being tracked when her phone is not in her pocket. We both had Samsung watches before with our Samsung phones and we now have iphones (were 7s, now 13s) and we both like the Versa watches more and they work great with our iphones. The heart rate monitoring is really good, as are the messages on the watch so you don't have to pull your phone out of your back pocket to see who just called/text you.
This watch offers all the apps I use most with easy access, it doesn't have all the extra apps you never use. It looks good too. I have vision issues reading small things but can read this watch well.
A:AnswerYes it does track calories burned, step count, water consumption, stairs climbed albeit a bit generously, heart beat, date, time. So many things this watch can track.
A:AnswerYes it does come with a charger. I use this with my IPhone 11.I assume that as long as you can install the Fitbit App on your iPhone, then you should be good to go!
