DIY installation of the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is intended to be a relatively easy process. However, as it requires a junction box as well as wiring up live wires, it's recommended you hire a licensed electrician to install the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro if you are unfamiliar or not comfortable with working with wiring. The Ring Floodlight Cam should be connected to a 100 VAC~240 VAC 50/60 Hz power source. Ring cameras work great at about nine feet above ground level with the motion sensor parallel to the ground. From this height, it can cover a wide visual area, as well as capture HD video of visitors' faces. When Ring cameras are mounted too low, it reduces your Optimal Motion Zone. This can work if you're only looking to detect motion in a very small area, but more often than not results in not detecting approaching visitors or capturing the top of heads when the sensors are triggered. Also, Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. This online forum is divided into four categories: Product Boards, Ring Updates, Tips + Tricks, and a Moderators’ Corner. The Product Boards are where you can begin new topics with your questions or feedback; there is also a search option that helps you find topics that have already been posted by other neighbors. We invite you to visit our site at https://community.ring.com/ today! Thank you, Antonio from Ring
