Ft. 33" Standard-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator (model FRSS2323AS) does not automatically light up when you press it to retrieve water. Instead, the dispenser light is manually controlled. You can turn the dispenser light on or off by pressing the light button on the front user interface. A white LED light will indicate when the dispenser light is on. To operate the water dispenser, press a glass against the water dispensing paddle. Water will begin dispensing, and it will stop when you pull the glass away. Please note that the dispensed water is not cold; for colder water, you can add crushed or cubed ice before dispensing. In summary, the dispenser light requires manual activation, and the water dispenser operates based on the pressure applied by the glass. - Maico
