Hi George! Thank you for your question. The FCWM3027AD microwave features a handle-free, push-to-open design. To open the door, simply press on the upper right area of the microwave door, and it will release. This is normal operation and part of the unit’s built-in, streamlined design. If the door does not respond, please ensure the unit has power and is not in a locked state. — Reed
