  • QuestionYou say the side panels are gray?? Does that mean it isn’t stainless steel????

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there! According to the Frigidaire manual, the doors are finished in stainless steel, while the cabinet sides are gray. So: - Front (doors): Stainless steel finish. - Side panels: Gray, not stainless steel. This is a common design for refrigerators that are intended to be installed between cabinets, where the sides are typically not visible. Answer: Yes, the side panels are gray rather than stainless steel. The stainless steel finish is on the front of the refrigerator; the sides are gray as specified in the manual. - Maico

  • QuestionCan I use a pre existing water line

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can absolutely use a pre-existing water line, provided it is a standard 1/4-inch copper or braided stainless steel supply line. Ensure the existing line has a functioning shut-off valve and that you run a few gallons of water through it first to flush out any old sediment. We hope this helps! - Patrick

  • Questionwhy is this refrigerator not energy star rated???

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello there, based on the Frigidaire specifications/manual information for the Frigidaire 36 in. Wide 25.6 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with EvenTemp Cooling System (Black), the reason it is not ENERGY STAR® rated is that this model does not meet the current ENERGY STAR efficiency requirements for refrigerators. ENERGY STAR certification is not automatic for all new refrigerators; a model must meet specific energy-use limits set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. A refrigerator can have energy-saving features (such as LED lighting, efficient insulation, and the EvenTemp Cooling System) but still not qualify if its measured annual energy consumption is above the ENERGY STAR threshold for its size and configuration. For this Frigidaire side-by-side model: - It is a large 25.6 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator, and side-by-side designs generally use more energy than some top-freezer configurations because of the vertical freezer layout and greater freezer-door exposure. - The product specifications list its annual energy consumption, but the model does not carry the ENERGY STAR certification label, indicating it did not qualify under the applicable ENERGY STAR criteria. - The absence of an ENERGY STAR label does not mean it is inefficient or defective; it means it did not meet the certification cutoff. If ENERGY STAR certification is a priority, you would need to choose a Frigidaire model specifically marked ENERGY STAR® Certified in its product specifications. - Maico

  • QuestionNoisy?

    Asked by Tina.

    • Answer Good day, Tina! Based on the Frigidaire manual for the Frigidaire 36 in. Wide 25.6 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with EvenTemp Cooling System (White): A certain amount of noise is normal for this refrigerator. The manual notes that sounds may come from normal operation, including: - Compressor running (steady humming sound) - Evaporator fan/air movement (whooshing or fan noise) - Defrost cycle (crackling, popping, sizzling, or water dripping sounds) - Ice maker operation (clicking, filling, or ice dropping sounds) - Refrigerant flow (gurgling or hissing sounds) If the refrigerator is new, it may sound louder at first while it reaches the set temperature. If the noise is unusually loud (grinding, repeated banging, rattling, or vibration), check: - The refrigerator is level - it is not touching the wall or cabinets - shelves/bins are seated correctly - The compressor area has no loose parts A normal operating noise level can vary with the environment, but the manual indicates these sounds are generally expected during normal operation. - Maico

  • QuestionDoes it dispense chilled water ?

    Asked by Pete.

    • Answer Hello Pete! No, according to the Frigidaire manual for the 36 in. Wide 25.6 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with EvenTemp Cooling System, it does not have a dedicated chilled-water dispensing system. What it does have is a standard door water dispenser, and the manual describes it as dispensing cold water from the refrigerator’s water supply line, not separately chilled or temperature-controlled water. Key point from the manual’s function description: ✔ Water dispenser: Yes ❌ “Chilled water” feature: Not a separate or specialized function The water temperature depends on the refrigerator’s internal cooling, not an independent chilling mechanism Bottom line: It dispenses cold tap water stored through the fridge system, but it does not explicitly provide a special “chilled water” feature or setting beyond normal refrigeration cooling. - Maico
